Why do you do client interviews?

A: It’s not scientific or anything, but people reveal a lot about who they are and how they function by how they answer, whether verbally or via the questionnaire. How much or how little detail is given can set the tone for what a project could end up being like and if it’s something that we’ll mesh well together on.

Trying to fit a square peg into a round hole does not work; telepathically determining vital context from clients…will not work. Client interviews are ways for everyone to be on the same page and make sure expectations align. If they can’t come to a happy medium, then it’s best to realize that at the beginning and not somewhere in the middle, right?
